Jefferson Day Report Center seeks a Peer Recovery Coach or Peer Recovery Specialist to join our team.
Our team of clinical, medical, and case management staff are dedicated to the patient’s success in the long-term addictions recovery treatment.
We are seeking a *Peer Recovery Coach or Peer Recovery Specialist* with a passion for working with patients in recovery to join our center.
In this position, you will work with patients through their process with the criminal justice system including patients on probation and home confinement.
The chosen candidate will offer critical emotional support, transportation, share resource information, and facilitate supportive social supports.
*Minimum Requirements*
* Certification as Recovery Coach (Peer) or Peer Recovery Support Specialist in West Virginia preferred, or be willing to attend the training as a condition of employment.
* Must be well established in own recovery with a minimum of 2 years and not receiving SUD treatment services for six months with exception of MAT recovery services
* Requires a high school diploma or recognized equivalent (GED)
*Essential Duties:*
* Maintain ethical boundaries and follow HIPPA guidelines.
* Assist individuals with working with their treatment team to set goals and objectives.
* Hours include days, evenings, and weekends.
* Implement Motivational Interviewing as a path of recovery services
* Contribute to the individual’s recovery/wellness teams.
* Transportation of individuals to treatment, court, or other judicial obligation.
* Assist the individual in identifying basic needs and signs of distress.
* Assist the individual in ways to include family in their recovery/wellness.
* Assist individuals to identify support systems in finding resources for harm reduction, detox, treatment, family support and education, local or online support groups according to personal preferences
* Assist individuals with obtaining recovery-oriented materials
* Help individuals find ways to maintain abstinence or reduce the harm associated with addictive behaviors
\*Pay based upon experience and hours of availability.
