Front Royal Family Practice is seeking an energetic and compassionate MA or nurse to provide high-quality nursing services to patients in our busy Practice.
You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive healthcare services.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Rooming patients to include collecting accurate vital signs, chief complaints, etc.
and documenting these in the electronic chart (familiarity with Epic is a plus!).
· Phlebotomy and collecting and preparing laboratory specimens (required).
· Administering immunizations and medications as directed by the practitioner.
· Stocking patient care areas and nursing pod areas and cleaning patient rooms between visits.
· Completing diagnostic tests to include, but not limited to, urinalysis with and without microscopy, strep tests, urine pregnancy tests, wound cultures, assisting with gynecological and obstetric exams as well as other test ordered by providers
· Completing electronic refill requests pursuant to office policy.
· Taking telephone messages from patient and deliver them to the provider in a timely fashion and deliver return phone calls to patients.
· Assisting providers with minor surgical procedures to include but not limited to: lesion removals, IUD / nexplanon insertions and removals, and vasectomies.
· Completing periodic competency and proficiency training as required by the Practice.
· Performing EKG, Audiometry, Visual Acuity testing and other diagnostic tests.
· Other duties as required by manager and/or provider.
Experience:
- Two years of experience working as a nurse in an office or clinical setting is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably Epic
- Strong understanding of patient care systems and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
