Reporting to the Plant Finance Manager, you will support all finance and accounting functions tied to the month-end close process, SOX/plant operational controls, and reporting of key financial performance metrics.
You will use Microsoft tools to bring financials & volume, operational efficiency, payroll/labor, and other master data together to create analysis, summary charts, and drill down capability designed to help drive actions taken by personnel to reduce manufacturing per unit costs while supporting innovative branded food products.
Position Responsibilities
Lead capitalization entries and audits
Maintain scorecard metrics and KPIs on yield and labor
Analyze assigned yield, labor, and overhead variances
Review production shop orders for accuracy
Trouble shoot accounts payable inquiries from vendors
Prepare standard journal entries and accruals
Be a SME on relevant areas of SAP, UKG/Workday payroll reporting, and Sharepoint workflows
Participate in month end and FP&A reporting
Help create annual budgets and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial metrics
Support assigned SOX controls and audits requirements
Leverage EXCEL and available resources to provide zero based analysis, performance metrics, and trends.
Help identify cost savings projects and support loss-reduction initiatives led by plant operations.
Position Qualifications
Manufacturing cost accounting knowledge with focus on analytical ability
MS Office software including intermediate/advanced Excel, Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to analyze data and present financial results using tables, graphs, and drill down formats
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
1+ years of professional general business and financial experience a plus
