The incumbent in this position is responsible for medication evaluation and management to a range of clients having psychiatric/mental health and substance abuse disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, under the supervision of consulting psychiatrist(s).
This position is regional and serves a number of outpatient locations in the NWCSB service area under the supervision of an NWCSB Lead Psychiatrist and designated primary supervising physician, as in accordance with Virginia licensing requirements for Nurse Practitioners.

*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* VA Psychiatric and Mental Health Family Nurse Practitioner License required, ANCC PMHNP preferred
* Current Prescriptive Authority required
* Experience in mental health services or with behavioral health and/or substance use disorder populations required
* Must possess valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to provide own transportation as necessary
*ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:*
* May be exposed to allergenic environments from client’s homes, including extreme heat, humidity, dust, smoke, pet contamination, cleaning supplies, etc.
* May be exposed to clients with infectious diseases
* Must be able to drive for long periods of time to visit clients in and out of the catchment area as needed
* Must be able to walk distances, climb and descend stairs, maneuver in and out of agency vehicles
* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
* Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds at times
*SALARY: $*122,971.
