RCA 77DX Mid 60’s - Umber - $1,800 (winchester)

This RCA ribbon mic was the standard of the industry for decades.
The brown finish is referred to as Umber and is so it does not reflect lights when on camera.
This unit was at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley CA until they closed.
I had it re-ribboned by ENAK in 2014 as showed in the picture.
After it was re-ribboned it was not used.
I had 18 pairs of ribbon mics I let the studios use and when they announced they were closing we tested all the mics and determined which ones needed re-ribboning and sent them off to be done.
Microphone sounds wonderful and is in tiptop shape.
Well worth while for a studio mic collection.
Comes with RCA cloth cover and aluminum case.
