Our client, *Willoughby Construction and Consulting*, is hiring a _*Commercial Construction Estimator*_.
A successful candidate will have experience in estimating construction for Quick Serve Restaurant Remodel Projects and New Build Projects.
This is a local position (in person) with an option for remote work in the future.
We are a small family owned and team centered Commercial Construction General Contractor that specializes in renovating and building new Quick Serve and Fast Casual Restaurants and Retail Stores, and Tenant-Fit Out projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast and expanding across the County.
The ideal candidate must have experience in Restaurant Construction and Fast-Tracked Construction Projects.
The position that we are looking to fill is for a 60% office, 40% field-based employee on a full-time basis.
We need someone that can come into a job and hit the ground running with quick serve, fast casual, retail remodeling and new construction.
It must be someone that can successfully manage more than one fast turnaround job with multiple subcontractors at a time.
We are looking for an individual interested in a fast-paced job where each day has unique challenges.

*Essential Requirements:* Minimum Educational Requirement: High School Diploma Ability to be employed and work in the United States Proficient in English Ability to Pass a Background Check Conformance with the Company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must have their own reliable transportation.
Proficient in Microsoft products Proficient in the use of Bluebeam Revue and other construction-based software programs Strong ability to learn new software programs used in the construction industry.
Must be able to be a self-starter and able to learn, understand and produce work quickly.
Must be able to come up to speed with how things are done, jump into the process and continue to develop processes and procedures that fit into and make better, processes, procedures that the company already has in place.
Must be comfortable working in a high-pressure environment that doesn’t have formal, rigid methods and processes established.
There is no manual for how to do the job.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Find and solicit bids from existing clients as well as generate new accounts and leads.
Using previously built connections to increase the number of projects being estimated on a monthly and annual basis.
Perform site-walk, develop cost estimates including materials and labor, develop preliminary schedules to predict project duration, and assist in securing contracts.
Work with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and the Clockwork team to successfully produce proposals in a timely manner, meeting all bid schedules and deadlines.
Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Assist Project Managers in writing contracts and the creation of change orders.
Review project specifications to understand the scope of the project and assist in determination of whether to pursue the project.
Perform take-offs from provided plans and develop trade-specific scopes of work.
*SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:* Minimum five years of experience in construction, primarily in estimating Experience estimating projects where key trades are performed with in-house labor.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications and understand current building codes.
Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to pass pre-employment testing.
Experience working with architects and taking projects from concept through turnover to project management team.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
Must be able to travel as necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detailed understanding of construction procedures and materials and project management principles *Commercial and Restaurant specific experience required.
