As a Project Estimator specializing in Commercial Siding and Roofing, you will play a crucial role in accurately assessing the costs associated with projects and contributing to the successful bidding and execution of commercial construction projects.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of construction materials, techniques, and market conditions.
The following is a description of the Estimator roles and responsibilities:
* Reading and understanding plans, specifications, blueprints, and other documents
* Managing incoming and outgoing blueprint drawings, and creating and maintaining appropriate logs for all construction projects
* Completing take-offs and reviewing sites to gather information for bids
* Preparing cost estimates at various stages of design
* Participating in project meetings, reviewing schedules, and preparing reports
* Building and maintaining healthy and long-term relationships with vendors, clients, and other project managers
* Visiting sites, warehouses, and other venues necessary in order to do estimates
* Collecting and analyzing data by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and other related documents
* Training and leading other construction department’s administrative staff
* Negotiating construction prices with subcontractors for competitive bidding
* Communicating with architects, engineers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors efficiently; and preparing economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Qualification
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is often preferred.
Relevant certifications or coursework can also be advantageous.
Experience:

5 years previous experience in construction management or building Envelop/Commercial roofing and Siding
* Familiarity with construction management software
* Strong leadership qualities

* Strong project management skills
