Front Royal, VA Full-time growth position reporting to the Field Services Manager, with a competitive wage based on skills and experience.

Nominal work schedule is Mon – Fri, 40 hours/week (see below).

The individual filling this position must make sound judgments on the fly without direct supervision, exercising initiative, high-level decision-making, prioritization, attention to quality and detail, and timely execution.
Duties and Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: * Operate a backhoe, Bobcat, tractor, and dump truck * Carry out daily inspection and general maintenance of equipment and facilities * Provide installation, repair, and maintenance services for a potable water distribution system, to include water sampling and test management * Operate a truck with snow plow to clear roads, and install/remove tire chains * Work in all weather conditions * Perform heavy manual labor * Respond to emergency road, water, and weather events on an on-call basis outside of regular hours * Serve as a team leader in the absence of the Field Services Manager Minimum Qualifications Skills and Experience: * Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction, road, and/or water utility operations * Minimum 5 years’ operational experience with backhoe, Bobcat, tractor, and dump truck * Knowledge of road and culvert system maintenance * Skill in the operation and maintenance of hand and power tools * Ability to work with others in a team environment * Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions * Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing * Experience operating equipment for snow and ice removal preferred * Knowledge of plumbing, pipe installation, and repair is preferred * Knowledge of swimming pool operations and maintenance is preferred Education: * Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
This position requires possession of a valid and appropriate driver’s license.
