What You Will Do: Tradesman responsibilities include infection control as related to construction dust / debris; protecting patients, staff, and visitors from possible infectious materials and/or dusts created as a part of demolition/construction.
Proper use of the various permits required for construction/renovation projects.
Project recordkeeping to document time and materials costs.
Maintenance of fire/smoke containment systems, including fire and smoke walls, glass and glazing, doors, fire stopping materials.
Required to read and follow commercial blueprints.
Commercial building responsibilities include hang and finish drywall (Including wood and metal stud systems and sound and comfort insulation); install drop ceilings (grids systems and various tiles); installation of various types of door frames, doors, and various door hardware;.
install vinyl and paper backed wall covering as well as borders;.
install various types of base (vinyl cover base and sanitary base); install various types of roofing materials; installation of flooring materials.
Construct various masonry systems.
Examples are brick, concrete block, and pouring concrete.
Use of specialty equipment.
Specialty equipment is defined as floor sanders, electric and pneumatic jack hammers, various nailers, concrete saws, various power actuated equipment, laser leveling equipment, and negative pressure equipment.
Many other types of specialty equipment will be used during the course of projects.
Construct and install casework and other associated trim work.
Including cabinets, counter tops, corner guards, hand railing, and chair railing.
Piping systems, including safety related items, rough-in, and disconnection of fixtures and minor installation of fixtures.
Air handling systems – including rough-in of systems and filter function.
Sprinkler systems - including fire safety, sprinkler rough-in, various types of sprinkler heads, alarms, and wet and dry systems.
Electrical circuits – mainly electrical safety, rough-in and circuit protection.
What You Will Bring: Education High School Diploma or GED required Certification & Licensures Valid drivers license required To operate any VH / WMC vehicle greater than 10,500 pounds gross vehicle weight, the employee must have a current DOT physical.
To operate any VH / WMC vehicle greater than 26,001 pounds gross vehicle weight, the employee must have at a minimum of a class "B" Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
