*About the Position* The 2ndshift Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all plant and warehouse equipment to ensure 100% uptime.
*Successful candidate will possess the following Qualifications:* * Prior maintenance experience in the food industry.
* Mechanical troubleshooting: Motors, Gearboxes, Conveyors * Electrical troubleshooting: Basic PLC troubleshooting, Ac/Dc circuits.
3 phase power, VFD & motor controls, Ability to read electrical schematics.
* Pneumatic troubleshooting: Cylinders, Valves, Compressors.
· Skilled in Tig welding, fabrication, and other shop equipment.
· High School Diploma/GED and 2 years multi-craft experience required.
*Responsibilities Include:* * Follow all company Safety procedures and Quality GMP’s * Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as a team.
* Maximize equipment uptime and minimize down time through preventive and corrective maintenance repair.
* Working with production team to change over machine and adjust for maximum efficiency while minimizing waste.
* Assistance in overseeing outside contractors during equipment installations or building construction.
* Participate in root cause analysis, safety design and quality improvement process.
* Work second shift, off shift and weekends as needed.
* Ability to routinely perform strenuous physical labor.
* Ability to work at heights.
* Ability to work in a cold environment.
*The ideal candidate* * 2-5 years of experience in Maintenance in a production environment.
(Food MFG preferred) * High school diploma or a GED certificate required.
