Delivery Specialist - Winchester, VA

Position Requirements & Responsibilities: (These requirements are in addition to any and all Viewrail employment requirements and policies.
) Job Summary: Viewrail Delivers is looking for a skilled individual that is able to deliver packages and coordinate deliveries from our warehouse located in Winchester, Virginia direct to customers and Territory installation teams.
Responsibilities: Organize and create scheduled delivery runs with other drivers.
Manage a run list.
Facilitate and operate our technical scanning and package locating systems.
Run and oversee shipping software systems that are warehouse specific.
Make calls to the customer and set up a delivery time or change the delivery dates Work with the other warehouses to move due dates to help group runs.
Make deliveries several days a week.
Work with install crews associated with each territory.
Maintain and follow warehouse safety guidelines.
Unload and organize freight in the warehouse.
Oversee proper truck and forklift maintenance for owned equipment.
Keep the customer up to date on the order delivery status.
Ship small orders via UPS ground.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Documentation Requirements: Valid Driver License (CDL not required) For Hire Endorsement (Company will pay for test) DOT Physical (Provided by company if not currently obtained) Required Skills: Ability to lift at least 70 lbs Ability to operate a forklift Ability to drive and operate a 26’ box truck with lift gate Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly (Home nightly) Knowledge or willing to learn applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations No OWI’s within the last 5 years Strong Communication Skills Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.
