*General description: Experienced Welders/Pipefitters/Fabricators* perform welding, cutting and fabrication tasks for maintenance and new installations in an industrial environment, meeting quality control and safety expectations.
Tasks may be performed in a time critical manner requiring a flexible work schedule.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Troubleshooting welding procedures to produce a quality welding product
* Welding repairs to plant equipment – bucket elevators, vertical and ball mills, gearboxes, conveyors, dust collectors, crushers, kilns, preheat tower vessels, chutes, duct work, and pipe.
* Fabrication and installation of various pipes, chutes and structures
* Various welding processes – Arc, Tig, & Mig (flux and solid wire)
* Weld various materials – Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Manganese
* Cutting processes – Oxygen Acetylene, Carbon Arc, Exothermic and Plasma
* Follow and adhere to safety procedures at all times
* Read, interpreting, comprehend and apply mechanical drawings and blue prints
* Preform maintenance and PM on various equipment
* Assist in emergency repairs and scheduled outages
* Keep a clean and organized work area
* Participate in various training and education seminars
*Job Requirements:*
* Ability to troubleshoot materials and procedures
* Must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in welding, cutting/burning, and fabrication *OR *Own appropriate certifications
* Must have at least 5 years’ experience working in an industrial environment
* Must pass a company performed welding test
* Must pass a background check, drug screen and physical, Practical and Aptitude tests
* Possess strong comprehension skills
* Comply with all employee, safety and environmental policies and regulations
* Must have own tools
* Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
