ABOUT THE ROLE:
Holcim Us, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a 3rd Shift General Laborer to support operations at the Millville Quarry in Millville, WV.
The position is primarily responsible for maintaining the grounds and operating equipment to include sweeping, shoveling, and performing light maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating parts.
The position will also perform pre and post-trip inspections on equipment, such as a rubber tire loader, forklift, man lift or bobcat prior to and after operation, and will operate such equipment in support of plant operations.
This position hours are typically between 10:00pm-7:00am.
Hours may vary depending on the needs of the business.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
May transport material; loading trucks of earth, aggregates, asphalt, concrete and other material and transporting it from one area to another.
Cleans various tools, equipment, material and work areas.
Performs routine maintenance on equipment, such as cleaning and lubricating parts.
Performs and records daily inspection of equipment, as directed.
Attends and participates in mandatory safety, environmental, compliance, human resources and plant meetings.
Adheres to all environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Heavy/light equipment operating experience (Preferred)
Required Work Experience: 6 months to a year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Excellent oral communication skills with close attention to detail
Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills
Ability to work in all weather conditions without limitations.
Ability to lift 50lbs
Reliable transportation
Licenses Required: N/A
Strong safety orientation
Must be able to work second shift hours as directed by supervisor, typical start time between 10:00pm-7:00am
Ability to work Monday through Friday, and occasional Saturdays

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
