Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Asphalt Plant Groundman to join our team.
As an Asphalt Plant Groundman, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of our asphalt plant.
Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with plant maintenance, operating equipment, and ensuring a safe work environment.
Duties: - Assist with the maintenance and repair of the asphalt plant equipment - Operate loaders and backhoes to transport materials and perform various tasks - Perform utility locating to ensure safe digging and excavation - Assist with electrical work as needed - Operate buckets and power tools for various tasks - Climb ladders and structures as required for maintenance and repairs - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area - Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: - Previous experience operating loaders, backhoes, and other heavy equipment is preferred - Basic electrical knowledge is a plus - Ability to locate utilities and perform safe digging practices - Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and repairs - Physical ability to dig, climb, and perform tasks in various weather conditions - Familiarity with high voltage safety procedures is beneficial - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions - Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
