Job Description:
The Detailed Scheduler is responsible for planning, controlling, and generating an effective production schedule to the manufacturing operations organization.
The generated production plan is expected to be as operationally efficient and feasible as possible for proper execution.
The Detailed Scheduler is also responsible for all related company goals, and the success of these goals.
The company goals associated with this role are balancing and smoothing the production plan, volume planning inventory for network distribution, back order and open order fulfillment, batch and tank efficiency, and scheduling optimization.
The detailed scheduler is responsible to review and escalate concerns with operational delays on the production schedule to the Master Scheduler, Planning Resource Manager, and Supply Chain Manager.
The role requires strong collaboration with the Planning Resource Manager that they will report to.
This role will also be requiring close collaboration with the asset Master Scheduler(s), Operations Manager(s), and Area Manager(s) to meet or beat business goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyzes operations “execution to schedule” aka “execution to plan” on a daily cadence; required collaboration with ops management on root cause failure analysis
Maintains and analyzes exceptions with material planning and operations, and recognition of new demand within planning time fence
Marks and tracks proper execution on critical batches (as defined by the Supply Chain Manager)
Collaborates and communicates scheduling changes with operations (leads, area managers or site managers) with commentary/reason.
Allocates detailed schedule to work centers within asset
Reconciles overcapacity work centers with Master Scheduling

Qualification & Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience in a planning function for a manufacturing company.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related discipline
Essential Skills/Knowledge:
Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, and/or material planning.
Experience in batch planning processes in coatings or related industry strongly preferred.
Strong communication skills
Reasonable problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
Proficient in SAP & planning tools (preferable OMP+), MS office applications.
Preferred knowledge of Lean Methodologies
