Laser Punch Operator

_*Laser Punch Operator Responsibilities*_:
· Set-up, adjust and prepare turret punch/laser combination jobs
Set-up includes but is not limited to:
* Finding proper tooling per set up.
* Check the heights of tooling and adjust.
* Set-up and adjustment of material.
* Locate and upload proper program from machine control.
* Ensure optimal laser cutting conditions.
* Provide immediate feedback, to supervisor on jobs not meeting set-up and/or production standards.
* Work with engineering and operations to ensure finished products are produced in the safest, most effective manner, while maintaining high quality control standards.
* De-burring parts with file or grinder, as needed.
* Responsible for to properly packaging, identifying and moving all finished products to the proper location.
* Ensure all equipment, and area, is properly set-up in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
* Performs set-up inspections, first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required by RMF standards.
* Monitor equipment and tool wear and request external maintenance when required.
* Perform simple machine maintenance and repair as required.
* Work with supervisor, Programmer/Mfg.
Engineer, and engineering to make constant improvements in tooling, programs and lean activities.
* Operate forklift, as needed.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
* Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.
* Required to have proper and accurate entry into the data collection system.
* Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.
_*Press Brake / Laser / Punch Operator Requirements*_:
* Prefer at least 1-2 years of experience setting up and programming laser/punch machines.
* Must have experience in setting up and adjusting laser and/or punch machines, along with maintaining laser optics.
* Position requires knowing how to analyze and write simple G, M and other programming codes and understand and select laser cutting gases and parameters for optimal cutting.
* Position requires good mathematical ability and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors.
* Willing and able to pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment
