The OD Specialist supports manufacturing and operational initiatives for the BPG-USA location(s) by developing, facilitating, and supervising training programs for employees.
This position will provide direction, oversight and strategic support to senior leaders, key managers, and HR across the organization.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Learn and understand production operations, quality, and decision-making processes.
* Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis, knowledge gaps, operational analysis, and consultation with leadership.
* Develop individualized and group training programs that address specific production needs.
* Deliver training courses and workshops, utilizing a variety of methods, (train the trainer, face to face, and virtual courses).
* Assist in creating On-the-Job (OTJ) training curriculums and execute the qualifications of personnel.
* Assist in editing existing and creating new instructional materials to be distributed during training.
* Create and administer tests after the completion of training courses to determine the effectiveness of training strategies.
* Effectively communicate and collaborate with Plant Director, Manufacturing Managers and trainers to reach established training goals and objectives.
* Keep abreast of training trends, developments, and best practices.
* Collaborate and strategize with the Trainers and/or SME of position(s).
* Continuously seek to improve training and processes.
* Other responsibilities as required.
*Qualifications*
* Experience in design and delivery of effective learning strategies and training programs and the ability to effectively present information
* Experience with assessment and evaluation of development needs
* Experience with developing progressive career paths and workforce planning
* Proven track record of successful project management related to training planning and execution.
* Proven ability to write, review, and revise SOPs required.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications and related business and communications tools required.
* Strategic and creative mindset.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
*Education and Experience*
* Bachelor’s or Technical degree in business, HR, or related field
* CPTD Certification preferred
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in Training & Development role, preferably experience in a manufacturing environment.
