Overview: DWL Construction is a residential construction Company with nearly 50 years of experience in the grading, site work, and infrastructure for new homes and communities.
The Headquarters are located in Jefferson County, West Virginia DWL Construction is now accepting applications for a full-time and experienced Skid steer and Mini Excavator Operator experienced in installing utilities, septic systems, final grading and installing yards.
The Operator should be highly skilled and able to responsibly demonstrate the safe and skillful operation of earth-moving equipment such as excavators, and skid steers, Candidate will participate in various types of excavation work to include, but not limited to: septic system installation, utility line installation electric and cable, final grading and yard installation ( seed and straw) The Excavator Operator position will require you to report to work at different locations in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia, and work at different Job sites mostly located in Jefferson County WV, and occasionally Berkeley County WV.
*Perks/Benefits* * Paid time off and holidays * Performance and salary reviews * Employee feedback program * Company provided tools and basic safety equipment * Health Insurance * Dental Insurance * 401k plan * 401k matching * Weekly pay * Additional pay for applicants with CDL Responsibilities and License: * Operates heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes and front end loaders to excavate or move dirt, rock, sand, gravel and other materials * Responsible for safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading * Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging * Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards * Inspects and maintains equipment as required * Digs, spreads and levels dirt, gravel or sand; and, using hand tools to install connect and place plastic conduit, pipe and wire in ground and install thru foundation wall.
* Performs a variety of machine and non-machine tasks such as removing forms, placing pipe in trench, jack hammering, tamping, etc.

Qualifications: * Minimum 5+ years of general experience in earthwork and heavy equipment operations * Highly skilled in operating earth moving equipment * Fine grade experience preferred * Must be able to skillfully operate equipment in a safe, expeditious manner and in accordance with safe practices.
* Must have basic knowledge of equipment mechanics and maintenance * Ensure equipment is cared for and maintained for efficient and safe daily operations * Team-oriented and able to work effectively and efficiently with others *Working Conditions* * Sit, talk, hear, read, and write * Regularly walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
* The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
* Perform duties on-site and underground at residential and industrial locations, regardless of weather conditions and must be willing to work exposed to weather conditions at all times.
*Additional Eligibility Qualifications* This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
