General To develop, integrate and maintain manufacturing equipment controls systems, manufacturing systems automation, man-machine interfaces, and industrial communication networks through the utilization of WCM (World Class Manufacturing principles to support the divisions including kaizens, professional maintenance, preventative maintenance, and predictive maintenance.
The Controls Engineer will be the resource for controls information within the maintenance department.
Responsibilities: Develop and provide support to all maintenance programs Develop procedures to improve uptime on the manufacturing equipment Develop and deploy Professional Maintenance, including, but not limited to, act as a project leader, train team members on roles and methods, implement a quality maintenance system.
Determine the best methodology for maintenance of equipment Schedule planned maintenance activities working with internal and external customers Assist in the implementation of a CMMS throughout the facility.
Development and distribute maintenance documentation.
Service in a support role within a specialized area of assignment.
Ensure products meet quality standard Implementation of business plans and department goals (MTBF, TB2F) Specialized Skills: RSNetworks, RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RsLogix 5000, Logix Studio, RSLinks, RSView 32, Panel Builder 32 and future revision of same or additional platforms.
Siemens S7 Simatic, Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC Flexible, and platforms related to Siemens automation Knowledge of ABB IRC 5 programming Platform.
Programmable Logic Controller Software Development and Design Human Machine Interface (HMI) Software Development and Design Field Bus Design and Commissioning Point to Point I/O Commissioning Documentation of PLC Program and Program Structure Read and understand blueprints, electrical prints, drawings, controls documentation, product literature and customer specific timing diagrams, etc.
Competence requirements: Basic knowledge of Powertrain Products Basic knowledge of the Maintenance Processes Knowledge of root cause analysis tools,5W1H, 5 Whys 7 QC tools.

AM (Step 1 a 3).
PM (Step 1 a 7).

FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) B/C Ratio.
SMP (Standard Maintenance Procedure).
Error Proofing and fault prevention.
Cost Deployment – Define the cost of breakdown with the financial department.
Human Relations.
Capacity for problem solving and resolution.
Capacity of Execution.
Legislation Security Minimum Education and Experience: BS degree with a concentration in technical background or 5 to7 years of related experience with industrial controls required.
Experience working with manual or CNC machine tools.
Solid understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
