JOB SUMMARY
The Wide Format Assistant will perform numerous machine operations to support the Wide Format department and total plant operations.
Responsible for completing assigned tasks associated with wide format operation and maintenance.
Responsible for assisting lead operators to ensure a high-quality finished product.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lift up to 25 lb stacks of material into and off the digital press.
Transfer products from press to cutter to worktable in an orderly fashion to ensure safe and efficient transport.
Uses a manual or electric jack to arrange skids properly in wide format area.
Continually inspect printed material for quality and alerts operator and supervisor of any problems.
Assist in printer maintenance and clean up.
Work in a safe manner always.
Comply with work and safety rules.
Respond to communications concerning any quality issues.
Maintain proper level of housekeeping that complies with company standards.
Must have adequate reasoning skills - must be able to apply common sense and understanding to job related duties.
Must be team oriented and willing to work for the good of the department and the customer.
Must have reliable transportation and be able to work days, nights, weekdays, weekends, holidays and willing to work overtime when needed.
Perform any and all other duties assigned by the operator or supervisor.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
H.
S.
diploma or equivalent.
Experience in the printing industry preferred.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Ability to work in a busy work center performing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and overtime.
Must be at work on time as scheduled.
