*Crownstone Equipment*, founded in 2018, is the parent company for 6 Bobcat Dealerships: Bobcat of Adams County, Bobcat of Frederick, Bobcat of Hagerstown, Bobcat of Lancaster, Bobcat of Reading, and Bobcat of York.
In addition to our compact equipment dealerships, Crownstone Outdoor Power, our Lawn & Garden Division, has two locations in Hanover, PA & Manassas, VA.
As a Bobcat Dealer, we focus on selling, servicing, and renting both compact and lawn & garden equipment brands including Bobcat, Toro, Echo, STIHL, Fecon, and more.
The Corporate Rental Manager is responsible for the overall performance, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the rental business unit.
This includes leading all aspects of Rental Sales, Rental Customer Service, Rental Fleet Management, and Rental Fleet Logistics, including achievement of rental department financial and performance goals.

* Responsible for external rental revenue growth through strategic planning and innovation.
* Supports the rental and sales department to maximize resale values of rental equipment and refreshing the rental fleet with fresh machinery on a regular basis.
* Responsible, along with the EVP/CFO, for departmental budgeting and forecasting.
* Responsible for regular review of inventory levels, missed opportunity reports, optimized fleet utilization, and rental rates.
* Takes part in regular financial statement reviews to identify opportunities to improve performance and profitability.
* Communicates any opportunities to improve financial and operational performance with department members, assigning key action steps and developing metrics to track improvement.
* Responsible for market segment penetration, adding new customers, and maintaining existing customer base.
* Supervises Outside Rental Specialists and makes recommendations on which markets Outside Rental Specialists should be placed.
* Regularly surveys the competition, suggesting or adjusting prices and offerings.
* Develops marketing plan with Director of Marketing/EVP that includes advertising and promotional materials.
* Provides input to EVP/CFO on the formulation of the annual rental department operating budget.
* Supports Branch Manager and Regional Directors to cover day-to-day rental operations when required across all locations.
* Evaluates personnel needs of the Rental Department and makes recommendations to EVP/CEO.
* Provides on-going coaching and mentoring to rental department staff to improve their customer experience performance through retention, prospecting, responsiveness, and problem-solving skills.
* Develops an annual training plan for department members to improve their skills, abilities, equipment knowledge, safety compliance, and provides recommendations to EVP/CEO.
* Works directly with customers and department members to resolve customer disputes and outstanding accounts receivables in a timely manner.
* Develops and maintains strong relationships with key customers and prospects to understand their challenges or industry trends that will open opportunities.
* Develops good working relationships with OEM representatives.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
*Educational & Experience Requirements:* * Five (5) to Ten (10) years of rental industry experience, 2 or more years spent managing at 3 or more locations * Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record * Experience with P&L and other key financial and operational metrics * Experience in outside sales or other experience in negotiation/influencing * Experience in construction or agricultural markets helpful * Computer Literacy * Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point * Demonstrates proficiency in running reports and queries in the dealerships business system.
* Efficient and responsible use of email and a time planning or management system (Outlook, etc.
) * Organized electronic filing system * Proficiency with OEM information systems * Effective use of industry websites for gathering competitive and pricing information * DOT Medical Card preferred.
*Essential Physical Requirements:* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
