This position will be on-site five (5) days a week for the first three (3) months, then will transition to hybrid with a 3/2 permanent schedule (3 days at the facility and 2 days remote).
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 9am - 530pm.

Plant Controller Our Plant Controller is responsible for all accounting entries related to the facility and ensures that they are in accordance with the GAP rules.
This individual will organize, control and coordinate the preparation of the annual direct and period cost budget, ensure that inventory is accurate and properly valuated.
The Plant Controller will also prepare the monthly analyses of the facility's performance and work closely with the general manager and other facility staff in order to find and apply cost-saving measures.
Your role in caring for our company: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Oversee all financial aspects of the facility, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the facility's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Manage and analyze product costing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in cost allocation.
Collaborate with production and operations teams to optimize cost structures and identify areas for cost reduction.
Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements and reports to senior management.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Conduct regular variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted performance.
Provide insights and recommendations for improving operational efficiency and financial performance.
Oversee inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate valuation and reconciliation.
Collaborate with production teams to optimize inventory levels.
Participate in the development of annual budgets and forecasts for the facility.
Work closely with department heads to align financial plans with operational goals.
Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Analyze production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead, to ensure accurate cost allocation.
Develop and maintain standard cost models for products/services.
Work closely with production teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date cost data.
Perform regular variance analysis to compare actual costs to standard costs and investigate discrepancies.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve cost control and optimize operational processes.
Oversee inventory accounting, including valuation, reconciliation, and cycle counting.
Collaborate with production teams to monitor and control inventory levels.
Prepare accurate and timely cost reports for management.
Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations affecting the cannabis and manufacturing industry.
All other duties as necessary.
Qualifications we ask you to have: For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
We ask that you have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance, or related field.
CPA or CMA certification preferred, but not required.
We ask that you have a minimum of three (3) years of experience that demonstrates growth and/or advancement in complexity, difficulty, or level of responsibility.
We ask that you have a minimum of five (5) years of extensive experience with auditing, cost accounting, inventory, and consolidation, with manufacturing/retail experience.
We ask that you are proficient in ERP systems and financial software.
We ask that you have in-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
We ask that you have excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve, personal integrity, and business acumen.
Addition skills which will help you excel in your role: Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to ERP systems and state regulated tracking software.
Comprehensive knowledge of ERP implementation and solutions.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to foster collaboration, be a team player, though also independent and self-motivated.

This position requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
As this position will mainly be working in the greenhouse, we ask that you be willing and able to work in an environment with high light and heat levels.
