PT Housing Inspector

PT Housing Inspector Location: Hagerstown, MD, 21740 Skills Required: Part time/flexible schedule- minimum of 30 hours per week Maintenance, housekeeping and construction inspections Working knowledge and ability to use computer programs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Job Description: The PT Housing Inspector will be responsible for scheduling and conducting maintenance, housekeeping and construction inspections of residential properties to ensure compliance, to include annual, semi-annual, move-out inspections, unit transfers and re-inspections.
Assist with the Housing Choice Voucher inspections as needed and performs Quality Control site inspections.
The inspector will have a flexible schedule and will be required to work a minimum of 30-hours per week.
The ideal candidate will have experience in property management, building and or construction and be knowledgeable about building codes and regulations.
The inspector will be responsible for documenting all inspections and reporting violations to the department Director and any other appropriate department for further referral and course of action.
May serve as witness in court cases and serves as back-up to reading electric meters and oil tank readings.
