Position Responsibilities
Maintains and coordinates implementation of process safety management (PSM) policies, processes and procedures.
Conducts field compliance audits, and supports Corporate PSM audit activities.
Monitors and reports on performance of site process safety programs.
Formulates recommendations based on findings and supports the timely resolution of issues by the business.
Plans, estimates, and schedules all facilities and utilities activities including the coordination of preventative maintenance.
Communicates daily and weekly notes on planned and unplanned work.
Processes and prioritizes work orders, examines and determines best approach for work order completion, including obtaining necessary schematics and checking parts availability.
Initiates parts requisitions for PMs and other work orders as needed.
Ensures parts inventory is adequate to support facility function while at the lowest possible level/costs.
Acts as a liaison between the production, engineering and maintenance groups and maintains records for analysis.
Assists in the administration and recordkeeping of preparation of training sessions and the distribution of educational materials and information.
Maintains and distributes reports on a routine basis tracking the status of progress.
Will host meetings to review as needed.
Coordinates and supports the Management of Change (MOC) process Supports the incident investigation process, specifically participating in PSM/facilities relevant investigation, and other projects as needed.
Position Qualifications Knowledge of OSHA Standards including but not limited to 1910.
119 PSM Standard or ability to obtain the knowledge Lead and participate in OSHA and EPA required audits and inspections Lead and participate in the HazMat and Emergency Response Team for the plant Prepare for and lead meetings with peers and facilities operators Report out action items and plans to plants and corporate teams Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze data.
Demonstrated positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize one’s own time consistent with the needs of the business Consistently identify, track, and resolve enhancements to work procedures or methods Demonstrated ability to train others Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to understand people and have good inter-personal skills when working with skilled and/or unskilled people.
Must be able to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential and privileged information.
Demonstrated ability to read, write and comprehend English Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible with changing priorities.
Ability to know what the priorities are and how to set those priorities.
Education and Experience Requirements High School diploma or GED required; Vocational school or other course work beyond High School preferred.
Computer Skills: Spreadsheets, Microsoft based software, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and developing templates for use by other employees, publications or promotional materials.
Knowledge of SAP-PM software is a plus.
Two (2) years clerical experience preferably in a manufacturing environment preferred Previous Ammonia Refrigeration experience preferred RETA CARO certification preferred Formal planner training or experience Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.
