Our mission encompasses supporting diagnostic, coaching, knowledge development, and fostering invaluable networks within Volvo Group.
Location and Reporting: This role will be based in the USA, with preferred locations including Greensboro NC, Dublin VA, Hagerstown MD and Macungie PA.
You'll directly report to the VP of Quality, Environment, and VPS.
Role Overview: Your Impactful Responsibilities As a Senior Coach within GTO VPS, you'll play a pivotal role in instilling VPS skills across the organization, driving customer success, and fostering operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will span various facets of VPS development and implementation within Volvo Group, including: Championing the Volvo Performance System journey, ensuring an end-to-end perspective.
Empowering entities within Volvo Group by raising awareness and building sustainable VPS/Lean capabilities.
Providing on-site support within the USA and developing close connections with Volvo Group leaders.
Collaborating with the global VPS team, contributing to strategy development, and ensuring alignment within the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Leading diagnostics and cross-functional coaching sessions.
Crafting and executing VPS communication strategies.
Mentoring individuals and teams to foster continuous improvement.
Designing and delivering training sessions to enhance VPS proficiency.
Contributing to the evolution of methodologies to ensure effective implementation.
Facilitating integration of Lean principles and best practices across processes and management systems.
Enabling joint activities between business areas to develop efficient end-to-end processes.
Who We're Looking For: Your Profile We seek individuals with a strong knowledge of VPS and proven experience in its implementation.
The ideal candidate possesses: University degree in business or engineering preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Lean transformation leadership or coaching required or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
Extensive hands-on experience in Lean activities across shop floor and office environments.
Proficiency in Lean philosophy and associated methodologies.
Strong multicultural collaboration skills.
Familiarity with sustainability and digitalization initiatives.
Desired Competencies: Exceptional coaching, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
A collaborative team player with a proactive, autonomous approach.
A continuous learner dedicated to personal and professional development.
