What You'll Do Proficient in database management and programming Assist in maintaining Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Instrumentation, Process computers and related equipment Able to program SQL and Crystal Reports; Siemen's 7 PLC and Intouch-Wonderware Ability to maintain and modify Graphical User Interface Programs (HMI) Through understanding of Level II system interfaces with Level 1 PLC systems, the OWS, HMI's and SAP Proactively seek new automation solutions to improve consistency and efficiency Ability to communicate effectively with appropriate departments/individuals General knowledge of Steel Mill Process Willing to learn; enjoys tackling new challenges Is organized and shows attention to detail, with a ""get it right the first time"" mindset Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs Works well with team members or independently: gives an receives feedback in a constructive manner Makes timely and sound decisions; uses resources wisely Displays a positive, can-do attitude; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations Ability to stand and sit for duration of shift, for a minimum of 8 hours What You'll Need Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Proficient with AutoCAD 2016 or later Must be able to learn quickly, multitask and utilize time wisely Have a strong background with technical writing to be able to write documents for operations and maintenance, explaining new or modified equipment Experienced with field work and understanding the customer's needs Ability to work with in project scope and budget Professional Engineer license considered a plus Experience in the industrial manufacturing and/or process industry preferred Minimum 5 plus years of industrial design and field construction experience Minimum 2 years of Level II Process Automation experience Steel industry experience is preferred Your Education Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline We are Commercial Metals Company, a Fortune500 company with a family feel that’s already part of your life.
