The Manufacturing Manager role is located in Middletown, Virginia and is a vital site to the Clinical Diagnostics Division.
This location based critical role provides leadership, strategy planning and day-to-day execution to a liquid filling and packaging operations team in a medical device operation.
Discover Impactful Work: The Manufacturing Manager will lead cGMP manufacturing activities to ensure that our Middletown facility provides our customers with clinical diagnostics materials for clinical and commercial use.
You will lead and develop a value stream based manufacturing team to successfully fill, label and package diagnostics liquids in cleanroom environments.
You will also have ownership over the strategy and direction of your value stream to drive productivity improvements, improve quality and enable growth.
Other responsibilities include working closely with related functional areas to achieve production goals and timelines, and to create performance and developmental plans for staff.
A day in the Life: Drive development of high performance team thru succession planning and individual development plans.
Ensure compliance to all governmental and customer based regulations and requirements Drive focus and achievement on key performance metrics (schedule adherence, Scrap reduction, First Time Quality, EBITA) Supports investigations and is involved with CAPA recommendations Keys to Success: Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor' Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering highly preferred.
Experience Minimum 4 years experience in a management position, preferably in a highly regulated industry Previous experience in a manufacturing facility required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Demonstrated ability to motivate exempt and non-exempt employees and demonstrated management skills, (i.
e.
, business knowledge, leadership, communication, ability to analyze technical issues, conflict resolution).
Thorough knowledge of cGMPs.
Strong planning, organization, and multitasking skills.
Ability to function in a fast paced dynamic environment Ability to make decisions and work with minimal to moderate supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to communicate upward to either a business leadership team or a customer required.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment Ability to work in a manufacturing environment is required.
The employee is occasionally required to lift, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Ability to wear garments suitable for a cleanroom environment, such as cleanroom gown, hair net, beard cover (if applicable), gloves safety shoes and shoe covers.
Makeup and jewelry are prohibited in cleanroom environments.
