Position Summary
This position will drive a continuous improvement philosophy, utilizing the tools and other lean initiatives to meet present and future demands, assure that processes are developed that meet and exceed expectations with respect to quality, cost and reliability, provide guidance across a sectional level in the manufacturing engineering business functions by dealing directly and forthrightly with production, quality assurance, production planning, human resources, finance, and maintenance as required.
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities
Conduct time studies to analyze and optimize work methods, processes, and workflows
Utilize statistical analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in manufacturing operations
Develop and implement data-driven solutions to enhance productivity and reduce waste with input from team members at all stages of the process
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Assist in the design and implementation of SOPs, process layouts, or product tooling to increase efficiency and quality
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders
Support senior industrial engineers in various projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing overall operational performance
Plan and facilitate problem solving exercises with cross-functional team members
Conduct trainings for employees on basics of Lean Continuous Improvement
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis tools
Knowledge of time study methodologies and work measurement techniques
Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Educational & Certification
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
1-2 years of manufacturing experience
