TITLE: Area Lead (EP, MISC1) • A shift REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor SUPERVISES: None JOB CLASS: Factory Hourly GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Coordinate personnel and materials to execute production schedules and optimize direct labor efficiency while managing safety and quality standards of a production area.
The Area Lead will lead a team of inspector / assemblers over multiple machines ensuring that all safety, quality and production goals are met.
Reporting to the shift supervisor, the Area lead will ensure provide communication from plant leadership and assist in development of new employees within their area.
Will be responsible for reporting machine scrap, uptime and rates, in coordination with company goals.
Will also track production labor accounts and verify proper coding.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: · Labor Management • machine/ labor assignment.
· Job Changes • verification of components and packaging; ensuring cell is set up correctly all quality procedures are completed.
· Ensure quality standards are met.
· Conduct daily safety audits.
· Administrative functions • execute cell layouts, labor assignments, provide safety follow up and policy adherence.
· Track out of specification product and report to supervision.
· Communicate and work cooperatively with fellow area leaders, associates and the leadership team.
· Perform daily 5S / housekeeping responsibilities.

· Perform other tasks as assigned.
_ JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: · Must work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with constant interruptions · Must clearly communicate business goals so associates understand how they contribute to the organization•s success.
· Extensive short-term planning based on established and changing priorities.
· Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members, identifying talent and communicating to the shift supervisor.
· Attendance to shift related meetings and communications to Shift Supervisors, Production Manager and Plant Manager.
· Ability to participate in safety audits, provide constructive feedback and proactive improvements to their respective manufacturing area.
· Ability to fill in for Shift Supervisor as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · Physically able to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach _38_ lift up to 50 pounds.
· Physically able to stand on feet for 12 hours.
· Must be able to keep up with pace of position.
· High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
· Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
· Must have good computer skills, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook.
· Accuracy, attention to detail, and well organized.
· Ability to work independently on projects and routine tasks.
· Work with minimum supervision.
· Must be able to effectively communicate with others both verbally and in writing.
· Must follow all safety procedures.
· Must wear/ use all required PPE, to include, but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves (when cutting or moving pallets), proper footwear (as outlined in the employee handbook), etc.
