As a Trex Supply Chain Materials Planner, you’ll ensure that inventory is available to support manufacturing and customer sales order requirements.
Your scope of responsibilities will include PO management, ERP accuracy, and management of materials to 3rd party manufacturing and storage locations.
As a member of our Supply Chain team, you’ll be managing complex problems and tasks in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
DUTIES
Manage purchase orders for purchased finished goods, raw materials, channel marketing materials, and e-commerce materials to ensure adequate supply for consumer and channel demands.
Manage movement of materials to and from 3rd party manufacturers
Manage inventory levels for 3rd party warehousing, ensuring adequate supply customer demand and inventory accuracy in the ERP
Support cycle counts and research to resolve discrepancies in the ERP system.
Coordinate transportation of materials with consideration for just-in-time delivery and space constraints.
Manage the conversion of the supply plan to a master purchase schedule.
Balance sales order fulfillment with supplier capacity and efficiency.
Implement and measure supplier performance for root cause analysis.
Partner with quality, engineering, and R&D to ensure materials placed on hold are efficiently evaluated for release, re-work, or scrap to meet sales order requirements.
Collaborate with engineering and R&D to manage project work and first article requirements within the purchase plan.
Identify and implement process improvements for working capital and supplier efficiency.
EXPERIENCE
A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of previous experience in a supply chain or operations role is required.
If you’ve worked as a production planner or supply chain analyst, you’re Trex material for sure.
Have experience with ERP and MRP systems? You’ll fit in just fine.
