We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to help us by driving performance to the next level by identifying and implementing improvement activities.
As a Trex Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will be looked to as an innovator in the manufacturing process and expected to help us operate more efficiently by executing projects that will create more efficient processes and results in cost savings.
This role is a key member of our Continuous Improvement team.

RESPONSIBILITIES Put safety first – Always! Lead and foster our “people first” culture Plan, organize, lead, and facilitate Continuous Improvement events (Kaizen, Loss Elimination, Value Stream Mapping, Value Engineering, etc.
) and process improvement activities.
Work individually and lead teams to complete projects following systemic loss elimination processes/tools and Six Sigma methodologies.
Provide continuous improvement support to hourly employees, professionals, and managers in multiple departments for respective ownership area(s).
Design, develop, and implement improved workflows.
Partner with Process Engineering, Production, and Training departments to create and update work instructions, visual aids, and standards.
Train employees in, Manufacturing Excellence Lean principles (5S, 8 Types of Wastes, Poka-Yoke, visual controls, time studies, effort balance, etc.
) and structured problem-solving techniques.
Identify opportunities and complete projects in line with annual CI goals.
Facilitate cost savings cadence and ensure master CI project list is updated.
EXPERIENCE We are looking for leaders with a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field.
Five years of experience in a manufacturing organization along with three years in project management experience is also required.
You will need three or more years of Continuous Improvement Methodology experience to be successful in this role.
