Adjunct Instructor - CNC Machining

*Instructor will be expected to:* * Teach both theoretical and practical (hands-on) concepts of computerized numerical control (CNC) machines, including operation, set up, and editing g-codes.
* Teach an understanding of the role of "M" codes, "G" codes for linear and circular interpolation, coordinate systems for tool movement on a CNC lathe and mill, how to run a HAAS-VF3 milling machine, and program a CNC mill using drill and milling methods.
* Create course syllabus and assignments for student skill development and professional growth and utilize the college Learning Management System (D2L) to enhance learning and perform administrative processes.
* Motivate and engage the class in a positive setting.
* Teach and demonstrate machine tool safety, blueprint analysis, speed, shop math, and quality control measures - all while following a proven curriculum and method of delivery.
*Requirements* *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* * Associate's degree or certificate in MET or an industrial program or trade school which includes CNC machining experience with a minimum of 2 years of on the job experience.
* Good understanding of how to use HAAS CNC machines.
* Good understand of Mill and Lathe use.
* SKILLS AND ABILITIES* * Solid mechanical aptitude and strong understanding of CNC G-Codes.
* Basic computer skills.
* Ability to read and interpret blue prints.
