The Instructional Technology Coach (ITC) is responsible for working directly with teachers to provide professional learning experiences through coaching cycles that support pedagogical innovation through the effective integration of instructional technology.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Assist teachers in the planning process to encourage the use of technology effectively for formatively assessing student learning, differentiating delivery of instruction, and providing rigorous, relevant and engaging learning experiences for all students.
* Collaborate with instructional leadership to assess the professional learning needs of staff based on goals identified in relevant guiding documents (e.
g.
Division Strategic Plan and the Division Educational Technology Plan).
* Collaborate with instructional leadership to develop, deliver and evaluate instructional technology professional learning experiences to individuals, small groups, or large groups of staff during the school day and/or beyond regular school hours.
* Communicate regularly with the Supervisor of ITCs and other appropriate personnel to identify needs, address concerns, and reflect on activities related to individual, school and district progress.
* Facilitate, with other staff, the collaborative evaluation of software and applications to determine appropriate curriculum relevance and make recommendations regarding implementation.
* Attend scheduled ITC, department, and other relevant meetings in order to share information, express concerns and contribute to the work toward successful completion of goals outlined in the aforementioned guiding documents.
* Engage in continual personal goal setting and extension activities.
This includes but is not limited to regular and active participation in a professional learning network that supports growth in content, pedagogy and technology skills, abilities, and dispositions that are forward thinking and innovatively challenge conventional thinking.
The qualified candidate will:
* Hold, or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license and have successfully completed a minimum of three years full-time teaching in a K-12 school classroom setting.
* Demonstrate depth of knowledge and effective integration of instructional technology.
* Display effective oral, written, digital literacy and electronic media communication skills.
* Exhibit an understanding of the peer coaching relationships and the instructional coaching cycle.
* Possess exemplary interpersonal skills for working effectively with teachers, administrators, staff and students.
The salary range is $50,500-$92,728.
10 (salary scale 23-24).
This position is effective immediately and is based on a 202 day contract.
