The elementary classroom teacher plans and implements an instructional program and provides related educational services for students in grades kindergarten through fifth.
Candidates must be eligible for, or hold, a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Elementary Education.
Candidates must possess knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, and materials that are grade appropriate.
Excellent human relations, interpersonal communications, conflict resolution, organizational and planning skills are required.
Must have the ability to recognize and respond to individual student differences.
Must be able to work in a collaborative and cooperative manner with parents, co-workers, school staff and service providers.
The salary range is $50,000 - $91,809 (salary scale 23-24).
This position is effective for the 2023-24 school year.
