Special Education Teacher

Timber Ridge School is a 12-month residential treatment center licensed and fully approved by the Virginia Dept.
of Education for adolescent boys experiencing emotional difficulties and other disabilities.
We are located in the scenic Shenandoah Valley just NW of Winchester, VA.
Teaching special education students, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates a program of instruction to include the selection of instructional materials, classroom management, and progress evaluations.
Advises residential staff with regard to individual student learning needs and methods or techniques to meet these needs as requested.
Participates in the overall assessment of each student's needs, program and progress with residential and clinical staff.
Bachelor’s degree required with certification, or eligibility for certification, as a teacher in Virginia and endorsement in *Special Education*.
Experience in teaching preferred.
Additional compensation potential for second endorsement in other content area when added.
Primary hours are 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Mon-Fri.
