Summary Objective: The Strike Boxing Coach will create and deliver a variety of boxing workouts for a wide range of clients.
The coach will lead groups of members of various levels through a variety of classes such as boxing and kickboxing, HIIT and technical conditioning.
The coach will be responsible for building a client base and recruiting new boxing clients under the management of the BPSD and with the Boxing coaches team.
The coach is responsible for conducting safe, effective classes and assisting participants in achieving exercise goals while creating a fun workout environment for the class participants.
Essential Functions: Deliver the Ultimate Fitness Experience to every member, every time.
Develop personalized programs to meet member goals.
Develop and maintain a boxing client base.
Teach safe and effective classes in accordance with industry standards.
Show dedication to the member experience by promoting cleanliness and member engagement.
Job Responsibilities: Create safe and effective programs Execute programs for a wide variety of members Keep accurate and detailed records of program progress Maintain and record schedule accurately Keep current personal schedule and availability on file with the BPSD Be available to members before and after class Represent the club, staff, and company in a positive manner at all times Maintain class statistics and records as directed Track time and follow payroll procedures Follow substitution policies and minimize use of subs Attend all mandatory department and club meetings and trainings Maintain required certifications and complete continuing education to remain current with industry standards Replace equipment and organize studio after class to prepare for upcoming classes and maintain club cleanliness according to company standards Report safety issues or injuries to Group Fitness Director or General Manager Report any equipment or studio issues to Group Fitness Director or General Manager Understand and follow employee standards of conduct and ethics Understand and uphold club building, facilities, service, program, and emergency procedures Complete all in-house training as assigned Work early morning, evening, and weekend hours as necessary Assume other duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills Excellent listening skills Ability to motivate and nurture others Demonstrated selling skills Strong work ethic that includes punctuality, organization, and attention to detail Ability to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude Outwardly facing professional appearance Confidence and desire to create new relationships quickly Ability to quickly acquire and apply new knowledge and skills Required Experience, Education, and Certifications: A minimum of 5 amateur fights with pro-level competitors preferred A minimum of purple belt to teach a specific martial art A minimum of 1 year experience instructing classes of more than 6 people of various levels Current CPR/AED certification required Personal training or certifications & group fitness certs preferred Employee Benefits: All US Fitness team members receive: Complimentary Membership and Guest Privileges Discounts on Personal Training, Mind&Body, Aquatics, and Kids Programs Discounts on Serenity Day Spa Services and all apparel Employee Referral Gift In-house Continuing Education Credits and CEC Reimbursement Additional Full Time Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Supplemental Benefits and Group Life Insurance Benefits 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Time Off Relocation: Candidates outside of the specified area are welcome to apply but if selected for an interview, they must be willing to travel at own cost.
