Teaching Assistant

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the lead teacher to support the educational and developmental needs of our students.

Responsibilities: - Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities - Provide individualized attention and support to students - Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment - Assist with behavior management and promote positive behavior - Support students with special needs, including those with autism or other learning disabilities - Assist with classroom organization and maintenance - Supervise students and maintain ratio requirements per VA State Licensing Standards - Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress - Daily use of the designated parent engagement app to update on daily activities and progress of the children in your care Skills: - Experience working with children, particularly children in a childcare setting - Knowledge of infant, toddler, and preschool age care and early childhood development - Ability to assist with behavior management techniques - Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Excellent organizational skills for classroom management and planning - Team player mindset with a desire to grow and learn from others If you are passionate about working with children, have experience in education or childcare, and possess the necessary skills to support student learning, we encourage you to apply for this position.
