Classroom Assistant

Responsibilities: - Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and daily activities - Provide support and supervision to students in the classroom - Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment - Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies - Support students with special needs, including those with autism or other learning disabilities - Assist with individualized instruction and small group activities - Help students develop social skills and promote positive peer interactions - Assist with maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment Experience: - Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting - Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices - Knowledge of literacy education and math concepts for young learners - Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum - Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members - Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting the growth and development of young learners Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
