Physics Teacher - Anticipated - 2024-2025

Primary responsibility is teaching physics at the high school level.
The ideal candidate will have earned a master’s degree in Physics or a master’s degree in any field with 18 graduate hours in Physics.
Qualifications: Applicants must be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with a Physics endorsement.
License eligibility may be met through any of the following routes: Completed an approved teacher preparation program in physics; Hold a bachelor’s degree in physics from an accredited institute; Completed 32 semester hours in physics coursework; or Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute with at least 5 years of documented full-time experience in physics/engineering and pass the content assessment prescribed by the VDOE Salary: Range for the 2023-2024 school year is $51,000 - $75,887 with additional supplemental pay for a graduate degree.
Fully licensed successful candidate eligible for $5,000 signing incentive.
The salary scale may be adjusted based on the 2024-2025 budget.
Workday: Full time / 10 month/ 200 Days Location: John Handley High School Start Date: 2024-2025 School Year
