Reading Specialist - 2024-2025

Works with students, staff, and administration to improve students' literacy skills and to develop and implement a long-range plan for literacy improvement at John Kerr Elementary School.
Qualifications: Applicants should hold a Virginia teaching license with a Reading Specialist K-12 endorsement or be eligible for such.
Special Education endorsement and/or experience teaching students receiving Special Education services preferred.
Must have at least three years of successful classroom teaching experience in which the teaching of reading was an important responsibility.
Salary: Range for the 2023-2024 school year is $51,000 - $75,887 with additional supplemental pay for a graduate degree.
The salary scale may be adjusted based on the 2024-2025 budget.
Workday: Full time / 10 month/ 200 Day Contract Location: Garland Quarles Elementary School Position Start: 2024-2025 school year
