Summary:
Specific responsibilities will include preparation for a successful summer program, staff hiring and support, scheduling, maximizing enrollment, working with transportation/nutrition/administrative offices, curriculum training, supervision of all staff and students, completion of program reports, providing strong fiscal management, and maintaining a positive school climate.
Qualifications:
Pre-program planning (hiring, schedules, set-up, transportation/nutrition set-up, curriculum consultation)
Ability to identify staff learning needs, and design and deliver appropriate individualized or group professional development and coaching to meet needs.
Program management of daily operations (assign classes, daily schedules for academics, processing payroll, student learning and behavior, etc.
)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adjust/adapt practices as needed.
Evidence of efficacy and willingness to be a team player.
Identify staff learning needs and develop just-in-time, appropriate individualized or group professional development and coaching to meet needs
Work with curriculum and instruction staff to ensure the implementation of differentiated instructional practices in both literacy and mathematics
Work with the curriculum and instruction staff to ensure uniformity and timeliness of assessments and family reporting
Ability to create opportunities for summer learning through real world activities and experiences.
Education and Experience:
Administrative Degree preferred
Bachelor’s degree required
Valid state teaching certification
Previous and relevant experience in utilizing and implementing data-driven instructional practices
Experience working in a school environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Evidence of efficacy and willingness to be a team player.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
Ability to coach teachers and instructional assistants.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Summer administrators will supervise and support site-based teachers, teacher assistants, nurses, and staff
Responsible for training staff on professional, academic, and behavioral expectations
Responsible for submission of staff payroll documentation
Ability to analyze assessment data to inform instruction and instructional grouping
Salary:
$42 per hour
