*General Responsibilities:*
· Assist in implementing lesson plans created by the Teacher, attend staff meetings, and be available for community events.
· Help children with personal routines, encouraging and supporting interaction between children while maintaining teacher-child ratio in compliance with center and state standards.
· Help children and parents with drop-off and pick-up transitions and relay positive communication about the child’s day to the parents upon pick-up.
· Build professional relationships with parents and greet them on a daily basis and respect confidentiality of children, staff, and families.
· Assist in maintaining a safe, clean clutter-free classroom while providing a fun open environment for students to learn.
· Receive 16 hours or training each year through workshops, college courses, or seminars and comply with center policies and procedures.
· Act in a professional manner and exercise sound judgment and decision making while maintaining appearance in a professional manner.
· Be flexible and responsive to daily requirements of the school and co-workers.
· Model appropriate behaviors, use correct grammar and spelling, and speak positively in a kind tone.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.
00 - $14.
50 per hour
