_ The Part-Time Railroad Museum Guide, reporting to the Recreation Coordinator, interprets the Hagerstown Railroad Museum & Engine 202 and artifacts in the collection.
They will assist with the improvement of museum displays and care for all artifacts and antiques.
They will maintain general housekeeping inside the museum and around the immediate grounds.
The Railroad Museum Guide will act as tour guide for scheduled tour groups, individual tours, and birthday parties.
They will help maintain records of all visitors and groups while also collecting fees and donations.
This position will assist with event planning, promotions and special events, and development of seasonal programs.
Must be available Wednesday – Saturday plus events, rentals, and private tour requests.
*Education:* High school diploma or equivalent *License & Certification:* Valid vehicle operator license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with City policy.
*Experience:* Knowledge of railroad heritage, museum studies, or related field.
