Gymnastics Recreation Coach (Tier 2/Level 2)

Gymnastics Recreation Coach (Tier 2/Level 2: Experience Required) Reports To: Gymnastics Coordinator SUMMARY: This job includes leading and managing gymnastics classes.
Class ages range from 18 months to 18 years.
QUALIFICATIONS: The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Requirements - 18 years of age Reliable childcare and transportation Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights/weekends Pass a background check Character Traits - Outgoing personality Having a like for children Ability to provide effective communication to children and parents Capacity to understand and follow oral and written orders Able to take corrective feedback and apply it in future behavior Take charge attitude with leadership abilities Organized and being able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Electronics - Must have a device where company apps can be downloaded Must have your own working email address Physical Demands - Demonstrate basic gymnastics skills Be on your feet and active for 4 hours at a time Spot all skills required of the classes that you are teaching ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following: Working as a team with your assistant coach to review and implement lesson plans Ability to handle high pressure situations such as accidents and minor injuries Being on time, dependable, and maintain the same schedule May be required to get additional certifications once hired Develop and implement weekly lesson plans Communicating with parents throughout sessions when necessary Choreographing a separate annual show routine for the classes you lead Be able to have effective class management skills and effectively correcting poor behavior Must be able to teach, manage, and spot any beginner to intermediate level class EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 5 years of experience in gymnastics 3 to 4 years of coaching experience G.
